Today on the We Are Made Podcast Imani is joined by Cleveland based artist, Antwoine Washington. With the encouragement of his family's support, Antowine set out to feed the curiosity of his craft. In efforts to grow as an artist. Soon into his discoveries, he noticed a pattern. When he looked to the inspiration of museums as guidance, there was no one who looked like him. With this lack of representation and reflection, he knew there was a problem to be solved. This discovery shaped his practice, as he soon began to build on the humancy of what it means to experience black life. Introducing this week's origin story, Antwoine Washington.
